I'm one of the rare people who voted yes, but only if the price dropped down significantly more, the current price is too steep and given that you need to buy a bluetooth mouse, a dock station/stand to make it stand on your desk, a sleeve etc the costs after all these purcahses climbs to near $1000 and to be honest it's too steep. If it was in the same price bracket as other tablets I would have bought it.
Just got myself an ipad and i'm actually quite pleased with it. I recently gave my old laptop away so was in need of something to replace it. Now the ipad is not a complete laptop replacement but everything i've needed a laptop for the ipad has it covered. Not to mention its far more portable than any laptop i've ever had and the battery life is simply amazing. I wouldn't say its a necessity but for wat i need the ipad does a great job.
