    My computers are reporting

"07/18/2010 16:40:38 PM - Module Real-time file system protection - Threat Alert triggered on computer LENSROOM: C:\Users\TCE\Tab Launchpad\System\Shortcut to System.lnk contains LNK/CVE-2010-2568 trojan."

This shortcut has been there for a very long time. I presume this is a false positive.

Interestingly, one of our machines reported a shortcut file infected with exactly the same threat over the weekend. This is a machine which is scanned daily and running the latest version of the Nod AV.

The machine did 2 scans over the weekend - scan with defs 5288 found no threats, scan with defs 5289 and found 1 treat. I've submitted it as a possible FP but, who knows?

    Hello,

Can you please submit copies of the shortcut (.LNK) file to ESET's virus lab following the instructions in this ESET Knowledgebase article? Thank you.

    Regards,
