Interesting one here. System Mechanic has a Process Guard. This is blocking Ace Utilities from starting because it thinks it's a 'Dangerous Application'. Do you think this is a case of a similar product trying to block a rival? I've used Ace for years and know it is a well respected app. Wonder what the score is on this one o_O

When blow me! Just after I send the last post, they reply.

    Not impressed tbh.

    Dear Paul,

This set of instructions is to see if there is a particular process that is interfering.

NOTE: End the processes one at a time, checking your application to see if it will load.

    1. Open the Task Manager (press the Ctrl, Del and the Alt keys).
    2. one by one,end any processes that have iolo as part of the name, mainly:
    -IoloSGCtrl.exe
    -iolo ServiceManager.exe

So basically. Force close the real time monitor so that it's no longer running. Surprise surprise, Ace Utilities ran fine. I'm at a loss at what to say really.

    Paul

Give the company that answer pasted to them and explain that this is what a personel is asking you to do instead of fixing that darn FP.
