Ive just tried to install KAV 6 again without the proactive defense and after

cancelling it from loading on system start-up, AND AGAIN I HAD A SYSTEM CRASH!!!

Im saying again because I already had 2 crashes before with this version

Ive got the same error message just like the other 2 crashes : " your system has just been restored from a serious error" or something.

    the error description is:

    BCCode : d1 BCP1 : 00000004 BCP2 : 00000002 BCP3 : 00000001
    BCP4 : 81AC0E5A OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 1_0 Product : 256_1

Ive un-installed ver 6, and now Im without any AV programm!!!

anyone knows what this error is?

And people at KL forum will probably still say it's MS fault right? I think it's becoming obvious there's something wrong with KAV...

For help about Kaspersky products , post in the specific Kaspersky forum

If you don't want to be with Kaspersky any more , make sure you have antivirus software

Hi merkavam4, I see you have already started a thread at the Kaspersky forum where Don is assisting you. Nothing wrong with asking for other's suggestions here of course, but the best place to receive support help would be at the AV specific forum. ;)

If it is a different anti-virus you are looking for, please open a new thread on that topic so this one doesn't go off-topic.

    Regards,

    snap

If you decide to perform Don Pelotas' advise on reinstalling Windows with full format , here you can read a brief description how to reinstall Windows XP with important things to be done afterwards.

If the desired antivirus doesn't work even after that , it is just not made for your computer (:D) . Then you can try another one but please start a new thread about the AV as asked by administrator Snapdragin. ;)

I would suggest looking through the other antivirus forum for opinions as to what antivirus to use as snapdragin suggested.
