Sweet "Suite" News. Time for a show down

Eset will be releasing their new suite on April 2nd, which up front looks very promising.

Avira is finalizing their Vista capable Suite with antispam and rootkit detection to.

Eset is set to do their beta on the 2nd, and Avira is releasing theirs on Monday to registered beta testers. I wish both good luck because both of these are going to be great and make it even harder for folks to decide what suite to go with.

 

is a suite, only called a suite because of 4 things?

firewall
antivirus
anti-spyware
anti-spam

if so, dr.web is only one of these away from being called a 'suite', and for users behind a router firewall... is a firewall even needed, does this make it a suite almost?

I think a suite next year will change in perspective of what we currently think of one. Some already have compared to a suite of 3 years ago.

April or May is usually the start of the next beta..
