This is the first time I've ever seen WSA quarantine the lite version, so it does distinguish. Must be something new now incorporated in the lite executable.

Yes there's something newer now, but on the A/V program's end: stupidity.

i had sumo version 3.11.6,249 installed and 2 days ago it started stating new updates for flash and most all installed programs with the same update number(666.13.0.0). so i used revo and uninstalled and when i tried to install the lastest version, norton 22.8 blocks and removes the installer. i have win764bit, ff49.0.1, ns 22.8

Do you mean that SUMo reported updates with version number 666.13.0.0 for most of your installed programs?
    That was odd.
But you mention that you were using SUMo version 3.11.6.249. Is that correct? When was the last time you used SUMo version 3.11.6.249? The current SUMo version is 5.0.2.334. So you were probably using a very old version. Perhaps that may have been the reason for the mentioned odd behavior.

Symantec Norton should not block the SUMo installer.
Where did you download the SUMo installer?
Did you download from http://www.kcsoftwares.com/?download or Major Geeks, or somewhere else?

    And as Kyle asked:
If you downloaded somewhere else, please try again with the installer downloaded from KC Softwares or Major Geeks.

If Symantec Norton blocks the installer that you downloaded from KC Softwares or Major Geeks, then there seems to be something wrong with Symantec Norton.
A moment ago, I scanned the SUMo installers using VirusTotal, and Symantec did not detect anything wrong. However, unfortunately, that is no full guarantee that Symantec Norton doesn't generate a false-positive detection on your computer.

sumo ver#3 was on win7 machine, 3 other machines(all xpsp3) had ver# 4 and was acting the same as win7(stating available updates for flash, vlc, speccy, etc.,etc. with the same 666.13.0.0 update version number. i use sumo everyday. this just started 2 days ago. i uninstalled ver3 from win7 machine and went to kcsoftwares site and downloaded the sumo lite. i always save to desktop but norton file insight scan blocked and removed the installer. we went thru this with norton and sumo a couple of years ago. i updated one of the xp machines to ver#5 using the sumo popup stating new version available and avast free as av and installed with no problem and working as should. just wanted to let you know what was happening. still odd behavior for the older versions. i stayed with the sumo older versions because of the problem with norton blocking install but thought that was behind us. and too, once i set up my machines there is very little change to them. thanks

    Hello,

"666.13.0.0" symptom may be encountered on :
    - cracked version of v5.0.2
    - obsolete versions of SUMo

Please update all stations to v5.0.2.
If Norton reports alerts on sumo_lite, please report false positive (i'll do to !)

    Thanks, Kyle.
    Everything OK here as well.

The only issue that I found, was that since the new user interface, my mouse pointer still tended to jump to the left bottom corner, and didn't find the Check button there. Oh, that poor mouse pointer, all confused!
But by now, my mouse pointer is getting the hang of it, and jumps to the upper left of the user interface, right away. I think everything is going to be alright! :)

No, Firefox 49.0.1 blocked the download of the zip version of Sumo 5.0.3.335 because of possible malicious behavior.

I have never seen Firefox do that before... (on anything)
