Stop Avast mail stamping

    How do I remove the email scan stamping. I said no when asked, but....

    I'm thinking nobody knows what you're talking about.. 250 people have read the thread, and no replies. I don't remember Avast doing any email stamping. Are you sure you're not talking about AVG?

    OK..that was it Blackcat. I missed that setting page...well, I had seen it , but I thought nothing of the gear icon ...embarrassing :(

    Ok, that must be new stuff in the beta then. I've never seen that before. Unless it's in the current release and I just haven't looked... (not currently using Avast).. :)

    The email scanning time stamp has been in avast for for at least 9 years plus.Personally i like the stamps and leave them enabled.Ive some times had emails off friends and family that shows that their database is not up to date :eek:

    So there has been something stamped in the email showing that it has been scanned or something? I never noticed it....

    This is the standard message.

    avast! Antivirus: Outbound message clean.
    Virus Database (VPS): 130821-1, 22/08/2013
    Tested on: 23/8/13 1:32:59 AM
    avast! - copyright (c) 1988-2013 AVAST Software.

    The settings page (see pic) was removed after version 7.0.1426 but the 'behavior' persists if upgraded to later versions.

    Now seems the settings are back in '2014'.
