Hello all: I wanted to report that I've been having an issue with StarBurn 10 (CD burning software) and NOD32 not playing well together. I'm running Vista 32-bit. Basically the gist of it is, NOD32 slows down Starburn's ability to scan the system for a DVD/CD drive. What normally is a 1-2 second process takes over 2 minutes, and the ekrn.exe process appears to be at 50% cpu usage in task manager when this occurs. Anyway, I fixed this by adding the StarBurn folder to the real-time filesystem exclusions list. Nevertheless, I thought it might be worth reporting -- perhaps in the future StarBurn might be considered a trusted app by default.
