    Running WinXP Home SP2
1 GB RAM 250 GB HD (Only 7 GB used)

Whenever starting/restarting computer, the Task Manager shows two "sbautoupdater.exe" processes running and they do not exit until 14 to 15 minutes has elasped. Is this normal behaviour?
On the Advanced tab I did remove the check mark next to " Always verify and set Protection on Startup" when I first noticed this delay.
I also uninstalled the 3.4 version (Disabled All Protection, first) before downloading the latest version: 3.5.1
    Thank you for any assistance.

    BTW, also have CounterSpy 1.5.82
    NAV 2005
Ad-Aware SE Plus (but does not run on Startup)
    CCleaner
    a² FREE

Yep - there should indeed be two sbautoupdate.exe processes showing in Task Manager (but if you look, one is using significantly less memory).

As for when they will exit - after an initial short delay (but long enough so most other programs should load, like your anti-virus and firewall) AutoUpdate waits until it detects an active Internet connection, and then attempts to download updates.

    Best regards,
