Spyware blaster

    Hi All,I have just installed spyware blaster,The help file says it does not need to be running to protect my computer,Could someone explain to me how this can be.
    If it isn't running how can it stop spyware getting onto my PC

    Spyware Blaster keeps track of changes to your registry in case a spyware program has changed it. It doesn't need to be open to stop spyware since it has killbits set to stop any spyware-caused change.

    At least that's what I guess...
