    Hi,

I was just wondering if Spyblaster can cause internet access problems? I have installed it on my machine this afternoon, ran it, and since then I have had trouble accessing the internet. By trouble, I mean that my browser is very slow to resolve connections, sometimes saying they can't be resolved (such as to www.yahoo.com, for example). I have called my ISP, no problems with my DSL service. I have rebooted my router, modem, and computer. Still having problems. Problems seem to exist with both Mozilla and IE.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Yotravel

    Hi,

SpywareBlaster's protection should not interfere with Internet connectivity, by any means.

It's possible you may have a spyware component on your machine, although the fact that you have the problems with Internet Explorer and Mozilla is a little bit strange. :doubt:

Could you please follow the instructions in the following thread and post a HijackThis log: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=15913
Someone will be around to take a look at it, to see if there's something lurking on your machine that could be causing those problems. :)

    Best regards,

hello, I have the same issue. I installed 3.1 and cannot get to a couple of sites, and a few others are slow. also tried multiple browsers. This happened after installing version 3.1. the older version was ok. disabeling protection does not help the issue. Thanks

I'm having the same problems on a couple of PC's. One's a Win98 and one's an XP Home. I downloaded SB 3.1 on those PC's, ran Ad-aware and Spybot S & D, cleaned up those items and then set up SB for protection. I created a snapshot for each PC and since then, I haven't been able to get onto the Internet through the browser. We know we have Internet connectivity due to Ping responses. But if we open the browser on either PC, "Page not found".

Interesting thing, though, is that I loaded it on a Win2000 Pro PC, ran the same process and haven't had any problems with it. Maybe I'm missing something with the other PC's. Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.

BTW, even with these glithches, I think SB is a great product!

Can someone please help. The spyblaster is the only thing that has picked up all the porn sites and its spywares , hijackers and even the trojans that come with them, problem is that immediately after installation i had no internet access. I uninstalled the spyblaster but unfortunately i have only partly fixed the internet problem that it caused. I cannot access much at all, and i haveto keep rebooting to have any access at all. I really wanto run this remover as i need to get rid of the spywares that have been stuck in my pc for the last two months now, rearing their ugly heads even when i am offline in the form of popups, all porn!!!!!, the blaster is the only thing that has found them on my pc, they are otherwise hidden, please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi jenmartin!

Firstly, I think you might misunderstand SpywareBlaster a little bit. The things it shows in its list are not stuff that has been found on your computer, but a list of known "bad stuff" that SpywareBlaster will stop from installing on your computer. However, your internet connection problems are from something else - all SpywareBlaster does is add killbits to your registry to stop installation of the malware in its list. The other user, kevm has shown that his difficulties are also not from SpywareBlaster as "disabling protection does not help." Disabling the protection in SpywareBlaster totally removes all the effects the application has had on your system by removing the registry kill bits it has set. I would say the best option for either of you is to follow Javacool's advice in his first post. If it did not work completely the first time, a follow up in the same thread as your original log would be advisable.
