Mack- Please don't be persuaded by the test for which you provided a link. A company can (and some do) have a low paid person whose responsibility is to scan the popular malware lists and add the links found to a web filter. So blocking sites that are found on these lists does not indicate the quality of the underlying product in detecting and cleaning actual malware.

As for Sophos, it is among the Enterprise products that we track, and all I can say is that (trying not to be mean) if you install this software on a clean computer you will be fine- as long as you do not use the Internet and never install any software other than Windows Updates.

I have no idea why you would say that but IMHO what you are saying I believe is total FUD.
Sophos are a well respected antivirus company with over 20 years experience.

I will also provide a link to the lastest test from av test to show that the protection and cleaning offered by sophos endpoint is reliable.

Could you evolve on the we part.

I mean... such a strong statement asks for a clarification.

Testing it out currently and find it to be interesting. The firewall alerts can be pretty annoying but at least I know 'exactly' what is trying to get access to the internet or computer resources at any point in time.

The AV has malicious website blocking which I don't remember Sophos having last time. It blocked a couple of test malware links I threw at it so thumbs up :thumb:

EDIT: Removed Sophos's firewall because it was restricting web-access too often.

    EDIT: Dropped Sophos completely
