Software suggestions for Laptop please

    Comodo FW with D+ and the Sandbox is easier than OA with all the popups. At least my mother prefer Comodo she dont get almost any popup in weeks with the new version.

    she's on nod32, she's a safe surfer, she's off to university... hmmm... i'd add ThreatFire set on level 3 and maybe set her on ClearCloud's DNS. also Google Chrome should be ok (and safer) for her.

    No need to hassle with many apps, as long as she keeps the OS/security apps fully patched/updated.:thumb:

    Yep, I agree. Make it easy for her. NOD32 plus Threatfire or Immunet Protect Free, ClearCloud or Norton's DNS, Chrome and a weekly Malwarebyte's scan should suffice.

    Thanks for all the suggestions :eek: Loads there for me to consider.

    I like the idea of sitting down with her and going through the options.

    I will probably make a start and buy the laptop in the next week or so and get down to work
