Hi: I downloaded from Sierra Wireless, see link, the sierra drivers for my At&t Mercury usb wireless device. http://www.sierrawireless.com/Support.aspx But when run prevx 3.0 it considers the file below as threat: driverinst.exe Is this true or is a false positive? Please let me known. Thanks Victor c:\program files (x86)\sierra wireless inc\3g watcher\driverinstaller\driverinst.exe [PX5: D154317D700ACA8CB5E1035597118E004BCE1F3D] Malware Group: Medium Risk Malware Downloader
Have you followed this procedure?: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=245129 Uses to be the fastest way to know.
Just upload this file driverinst.exe to VirusTotal (or Jotti etc.) and see for yourself what other vendors think about this driver to get an impression: c:\program files (x86)\sierra wireless inc\3g watcher\driverinstaller\driverinst.exe [PX5: D154317D700ACA8CB5E1035597118E004BCE1F3D] Malware Group: Medium Risk Malware Downloader Btw .. I would suggest to *NOT* post entire logfiles as there are informations shown that you maybe don't like to get published (use of keygens etc.). If you want Prevx to fix a false positive it is enough to send them the lines with in front from logfile (copy & paste).
Great! If you have any further FP's please follow the instructions that vojta pointed to! As per policy I will close this thread! TH
