Yeah, when I was in high school. It's amazing the power those boats have. They get pretty darn close to the falls. It is cooling... everybody gets raincoats to wear.
It's been warm and humid around here for the last week. Highs in the mid 90's... the hottest June we've had in 10 years. It's back to sanity now - mid 80's.

greyfox, your photo of Puget Sound is so pretty. We went to Seattle on our honeymoon. :) The bridge photo looks like a nice place to kayak.

Ailric, it's sad you experienced that loss, but it's a treasure to have the photo.

I, just a few minutes ago, stood on my backyard balcony and took some pictures looking north then south (adjusted in photoshop with filters). I tried to take a picture of the dining room with view but lighting was poor and I did not know how to fix it in photoshop

I can't figure this out. Left is corrected and right is save. It should save corrected

Well, yes and thank you - it's beautiful but stressful at the same time. I'm here because my dad died and my mom is all alone. She has advanced diabetes and osteoporosis. I take care of some of her needs and their "dream house"

You only get one mom. I love my mom very much. I want to help her last years without as much loneliness and I wish to spend time because it's getting shorter- we both miss my dad. This is the original straight from drive A:

Lynchknot, Where are you taking the scenery pictures? The Pacific Northwest? You are a good son. I would hope my son will treat me that well when I need him to help me out.

This isn't where I live... or not yet anyway. It's a house some friends and I have bought in a village in Romania. It's in poor condition and we don't have time to go there much (it's several hundred miles away), so we're just trying to make sure it doesn't fall down.

This is the main street in the village, and the surrounding fields. None of the houses have running water, but there's a village well. They got electricity in the early 1990s. Most people get by with subsistence farming. It looks idyllic but it's a hard life, and the community is gradually dying as young people move out.
