The Log Report from a scheduled scan is not complete. It does not finish with a summary of the number of scanned files, number of threats found etc. When I do a manual scan I do get a complete log file. Also, does the scheduled scan run completely in the background because I do not see it scanning files as you do with a manual scan.

    HI Buono, welcome to Wilders.

The screenshot you have provided does not show what you have described.

Please draw down the slider and show us the results.

    Cheers :D

That's the problem. The log just stops without a summary as you can see in this pic. However, I followed your posted directions for a scheduled scan and this is what I was looking for. I would like to know why the log does not complete when a background scheduled scan runs. Thank you.

Others more knowledgeable will have to answer but I wonder if there is a size limitation to the log size :doubt:

How do you know the scan has stopped?

Is the scan still running on a very large file and it just appears to have stopped?

What happens if you run a manual on demand scan?

    Cheers :D

I know the scan stopped because it ran over night and I never interrupted it. When I run a manual scan, the scan log completes normally & when I run a scheduled scan with your settings for an external app scan w/ command line, it also completes normally and the log file is complete. The log only stops without a scan summary, when I run a scheduled silent scan. Any suggestions. Thank you.

I would try removing the silent scan and re-enter it.

    Cheers :D
