When new files are auto scanned the window often appears and dissappears too quickly to view. Could an option be made to stay open until manually closed, so we can view exactly what/where was scanned ?
I doubt it will be incorporated. Files are scanned on the fly and usually there are more files than just one. So such list of scanned files might be quite long and thus not so user friendly. For instance if you run VLC media player for the first time Prevx scans dozens of dll plugin files. As I understand how Prevx works the pop-up scanning window is shown to just let a user know that Prevx is scanning files and if something bad is found Prevx will let you know it in the end. On the contrary I like that Prevx is silent and non intrusive.
Hi pegas I know what you're saying, but my suggestion is to make it an opt in option I notice Prevx havn't commented on this
You should keep Ideas that you would like in this thread: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=245091 to keep it all in one place to make it easier for Prevx to search through them! TH
Thanks for the suggestion We will be adding a feature in Prevx 4 which goes an extra mile to give the user granular visibility into what's going on within the system and the scanner. The Authenticating Files window does indeed try to stay out of the way of the user (it shoves itself into the background as the lowest window intentionally) because most people don't want to see it, but we are definitely looking to appeal to those who want to have more control in Prevx 4
