I just tried upgrading from version3.0 (which worked fine) to 3.1. Upon launching 3.1, I get a blank window and when I ctrl + alt + del I get SB "not responding". I'm running 98 SE, Netscape 7.0 and IE 6.0
I've had to uninstall and go back to 3.0. Anyone else having this problem?

    hey :D

i think this is caused by a large "Registry.dat" file, from netscape, search your netscape directory for that file, and delete it, version 3.1 will function correctly, its just having problems loading the file since its large, when the file is deleted, if will be auto recreated soon as u start netscape again

    regards :D

Thanks alot, that worked. But thank god I made a back up of that file. I found out that if you delete the registry.dat file with Netscape closed you need to re-set up your e-mail account, home page and some pref.
It's okay to delate that file, just make sure Netscape is running while you do it. To all you Netscape / Mozilla users out there my registry.dat file went from 88mb to 80kb! Netscape loads a hell of a lot faster now.
    Thanks again for your help!
