If Sandboxie service is set to manual & it doesn't affects any functionality then why it is set to automatic by default?
There must be some reason it is automatic by default or this is just useless approach by the developer?

Sandboxies motto is "Trust no program". I take that as meaning .....that I as a full time Sandboxie user should run all programs sandboxed no matter what the program is. And that's exactly how I use Sandboxie. Sandboxie was not created to be used on demand, IMO.

But if that's how you want to use it, Tzuk made it possible.

Does anyone know if there is a way to save your Sandboxie settings?

I just purchased a new PC and I'd love to save my settings so I can transfer them to my new PC...

Hi Alex, you can save your settings by copying your Sandboxie.ini file in Windows. But I am not sure how good it works using it to replace the one that gets created after installing SBIE in the new PC.

I think you should copy the text file (Configure>Edit configuration). Then, after creating the sandboxes in the new PC, copy settings from this text file and paste then to the one in the new PC. And reload configuration afterward. I would feel safer doing it like that than replacing the whole ini file (one from a W7 to a W8.1, I wouldn't like that).

I'm still finishing up getting everything off my old PC for now. I wanted to make sure I saved everything necessary. So, I've saved the ini file as a text file. When I've got the new PC up and running, I'll be back in touch Bo. Plan on helping me remember how to set up 8 separate sandboxes.... ;)
