Hi guys, I've safe online max and I was surfing on wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Cohen) when by mistake, I've clicked on this link "hxxp://vx.netlux.org/lib/afc04.html". Is this site dangerous? I'm a bit worried. Prevx hasn't sent any alert.

    Thank you in advance.

    1. Do. Not. Panic. :D
    2. What is the problem exactly?
    3. Why should this site being dangerous?
Especially If 'Prevx hasn't sent any alert'?
What is the reason you are worried?

I am using Prevx latest beta build 3.05.63
and Avira Premium 9 - both of them don't
think your link is a malicious site. -> No alerts.

So what is your problem if there is any? :D

Because I've read that is dangerous!!
Why wikipedia has these external links?

Now Avira (free) adivises that this file "C:\Documents and Settings\Lorenzo\Dati applicazioni\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\3v3689c8.default\sessionstore-1.js" is a malware ("HEUR/HTML.Malware [heuristic]"). Have I to worry about it? Thanks.

I tried it with both Kaspersky and MSE and neither complained. I would say it is safe.

Well, you can read many things if you have time to do that. ;)
If you are so afraid of getting infected maybe you shouldn't
read that stuff on this site. Reminds me when reading once
a book called 'Pschyrembel' and then 'getting' all those
diseases that are described there. Simple: If you are
hypochondriac - stay away from those informations
or you will geht nightmares. :D

Why not? I couldn't find anything malicious there.

Well, if your av program says something like that,
you should take that serious. Or what are we
    supposed to say here?

If this all is not a joke you know. :D

    thank you for your reply.
Yes, maybe I'm hypochondriac. But also inexpert so I don't know what to do when I ecounter these "problems".

    Can you explain me this?

This site is blocked by OpenDNS - categorized as "Adware".

Using OpenDNS https://www.opendns.com/ can help to protect you against bad websites. It's also worth using NoScript and Adblock Plus with Firefox. And many bad sites are blocked by using the hosts file at http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm .

(For even more protection, try out Sandboxie http://www.sandboxie.com/. Then you need not worry what slips through your other security.)

Netlux is a well known hacker website which hosts a lot of material on viruses, which is likely why it was flagged by the other products. However, this page is not malicious and you'll be safe to visit :) Just be careful around this website as there are some links to active malware.
