Since I moved to a new apartment, I have a DSL connection that isn't as fast. I'm trying to cut back on anything that slows Internet traffic. Since I have both ESET Personal Firewall and the Windows XP Pro firewall both running, do I really need the Windows firewall?

ESET Smart Security should automatically turn off the Windows Firewall. If it hasn't shut off Windows Firewall, it might be a good idea to do that.

It will not fully turn of the Win Firewall service as if you do choose to disable it fully you cannot change some settings in Home groups and Sharing centre!
