    "Microsoft Product Support Services has found customer system's with the HackerDefender rootkit targetting RootkitRevealer by name to foil it. This 1.3 update performs scans using a randomly named copy of itself to defeat this attack."

    So it isn't a bad thing to change the process name afterall ? :D

    I always thought is wa a good self protection thing to do but some of the
    programmers here downplay the technique.

    I would think any technique that outsmarts malware is worth using :).
