RootKit Revealer not working.

Everytime I try to launch RootKit revealer, I get this message:
"Unable to install RootkitRevealer service: Overlapped I/O operation is in progress."

What is wrong? how can I fix it?

 

Comp01, hello. Are you using DCS Process Guard, or a similar app? I get a similar (but different) message when I start RKR without disabling some of PG's functionality.

 

Have you tried emailing Mark (from Sysinternals), I have always found that he replies fairly quickly

It might help if you give a little bit of background when you send the email.
Things like

• O/S version & what patches applied (ie: fully patched or not)
• What type of user account you are using (Adminstrator level or restricted user)
• The RR version you are using (is it the latest one)
• Have you ever run RR before on this machine without errors
• Any protective/security software you have that you think might be relevant

Ah, sorry for the delay. Anyways, No, I haven't emailed him, but I will.

I'm not running DCS Process Guard, I am running AntiHook now (But not at the time of me trying to run it.) I have ran it before on this system, but not on this windows installation, I am running in Administrator mode when I attempt to run it, still to no avail it does not work, I have yet to figure it out.
