Eazy Fix Support's reply (in short, both are the same products with a different brand name)

"ckd" is an abbreviation for "checked".
After you take a new snapshot, Eazy Fix automatically checks the snapshot for errors.
If any error is detected, Eazy Fix will attempt to repair the snapshot, and after the repair, it will take a new snapshot of the repair snapshot, giving it the same name and labeling it "ckd".

OK... thanks, but I was just wondering why every snapshot fails validation and needs to be repaired, what is wrong with them in the first place so they need to be fixed.
