Rollback revisited

You need to activate, but you don't need to email them for a new key.
At least that is what I understand. I don't have experience with that yet.
Sysinternals offers a free volume ID editor.

If, for example, I use Image for Windows within a BartPE environment, the image that I get, has all the snapshots or only the baseline?
How can I get an image with all the snapshots?

2006-08-16 11:43:11 Rollback provides protection by monitoring and tracking hard disk sectors, sectors used by one snapshot do not appear as used in another snapshot. To get an image with all the snapshots, you would have to image the drive with sector by sector option.
Ghost=1 option allows you to image the drive within a snapshot. For example, you want to image the snapshot 5, you would first restore to the snapshot 5. Press HOME to enter subsytem console, run "ghost=1", select Boot from floppy to go to command prompt, image the disk. The image will contain the data from snapshot 5. Thank you.

I have reinstalled Rollback Rx to give it another chance with the new build.
For some stupid reason I did untick the box (during installation) telling Rollback to protect my second partition too on my main drive ( D: ) Is there a way to enable the protection of that partition while RB is installed, or do I have to uninstall and reinstall RB to do that? Some hidden command in the boot process maybe?

 

No idea? MAy be reinstall only? but why not to ask HDS people.

 

I wonder if you could do a manual activation - and then reinstall without the server activation?

THat would be handy as every build involves and email to support for me
