When I right click on the trash can I get the ''remove from panel'' choice.I keep clicking on it instead of choosing ''empty trash'' and then I have to restore it .Is there an easy way to remove that option (''remove from panel'') from the right click menu?

I suspect there's a way with gconf-editor. Whether it can be done per icon or just globally I wouldn't know. I'm sure someone better versed with gnome will be able to help you.

You can of course place the trash can on the desktop and use that instead of the one in the panel.
gconf editor > nautilus>desktop > tick the 'trash icon visible' box.

(gconf editor is in the repos. look for configuration editor)
