My AVG software finds a file bdl14025.exe and idendifies it as revop.c trojan.
I followed their instructions (ran AVG scan in safe mode) but the file keeps returning after I delete it. I followed instructions on this forum by downloading and running Adaware. It removed lots of junk but the bdl14025.exe keeps returning to my Windows\temp file. My hijackthis.log is as follows. Please help.

    Hi road.king.larry,

I have merged your last post together with your earlier one, and this will bump it up to the top. Your log may have been missed as it can get pretty busy in this forum with lots of people posting daily.

I am sure one of the Experts will review you log shortly.

    Thank you for being patient.

    Regards,

    Hi road.king.larry,

There must be a running .exe file somewhere on your system that keeps putting the bdl14025.exe file back on reboot.

First, make sure you have all files and folders viewable: How to Show hidden files and folders.

Then do a search for a file called bdm.exe. If you find it, move it to another location on your computer, and zip up a copy of the file and email it to This Email Address for analysis (include a short message and a link back to this thread in the body of the email), and upload the file for a scan here: Kaspersky. Post back what the Kaspersky scan results.

Then with only HijackThis open, place a check beside the following items.
Make sure ALL browsers/windows are closed, then click *Fixed checked:

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/cus...//www.yahoo.com

    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/cus...//www.yahoo.com
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/cus...//www.yahoo.com

    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497} - (no file)

(if you set this as yourself then don't fix it, otherwise include this too)
    O14 - IERESET.INF: START_PAGE_URL=http://www.taxcut.com

Next, boot your computer into Safe Mode by tapping the F8 key just before windows beings to load, and clean out everything you can in your Temp folders (don't delete the Temp folder itself though.)

Also clean out your IE Internet Temporary Files folder. Open IE --> Tools --> Internet Options --> General Tap --> Click on " Delete Files" and place a check in the "Delete all offline content" box, and then press OK.

Reboot your computer normally and post a new log here in this thread.

    Regards,

    snap
