Hello! First of all thanks for trying to help me. Sorry but my english is not good. I use Acronis True Image Home 11 (8.053 build) and I´ve a problem restoring from dvds. Two weeks ago, I did a backup of my hard disk partition (of my active partition C:) to DVDs. This partition (C:) has got 22 Gb of data and 39 Gb total space. Now, I am trying to restore my active partition C:, without success. I do a list explaining what I do :

    - I copied the content of 3 DVDs to a hard disk folder (in a different hard disk partition from that I trying to restore ) in D:. And then I execute Acronis true image and select the first archive named "backup1.tib" (I may select also "backup2.tib" and "backup3.tib"?) and continue answering Acronis question. At the end Acronis ask me for reboot computer I say "Yes" but it doesn´t restore anything (all is like before of restoring)

-I try introducing first the last DVD in the drive and with acronis access to it. But (like the first method) it doesn´t restore anything (all is like before restoring)

I don´t know what to do, anyone can help me, please?

Are you starting the restore form within windows or from the BootCD, whichever you are ding, try the other.

If neither of those works, then try doing the ATI validiation of the archives. Does that Wrok?

    Thanks Shieber
    Ok,
    1) the ATI validation of archives says that are well.
    2) I do a boot CD and I tried to restore the system from it, but it says "E0001F4: Acronis True Image Home has not found any hard disk drives", my hard disk is a Seagate Barracuda SATA drive. I don´t know what is wrong?

I think that it isn´t normal, is it?

Have you tried the quiet acpi=off noapic option detailed in Section II of the PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU POST thread?

You might also try updating to the latest build of TI 11 (8,101) and see if that helps.

If the problem is that the necessary drivers aren't included in the Full Mode (Linux-based) version of TI, you might also try the Safe Media version (you'll need to download this from your Acronis account, install it and create a new TI CD that includes it).

Finally I have installed Acronis True Image Home 2009 build 9608. And it works fine, every problems that I described above has been resolved. It´s great to restore the system in 20 minutes. Thanks Mudcrab and Shieber for your help. :)
