Since recently I changed from XP to Vista Home Premium. I have 3 partitions on my internal drive. Vista (C), Data (D) and Backup (E).
When I try to restore an image created from Vista (C) using TI 10 (full) or TI 11 (trial) I cannot select the C-partition as the Restored partition Location. Only D and E are available. C is grayed.

    The following note is displayed:
Please select a target partition or unallocated space to restore the partition image. The partitions already restored are checked off and disabled. The locations without enough space for restoring the image are disabled as well.

Isn't it so that the existing data on the C-partition automatically is deleted by TI?
I do exact the same as before when I used XP.

    What do I do?

Can you post a screenshot of where TI won't let you select the C: partition and also of what Vista's Disk Management shows for your drives?

I hope you can tell me the answer to this problem.
In the past I really did a lot of good work with TI. This is the first time it let me down!

What size is the image you're trying to restore? (Both the TIB file size and the restored image size.)

Have you run chkdsk /f on the C: partition?

If you create the backup image using TI 10 while booted to the TI CD (instead of from Vista), does it let you select the C: partition for restore using that image?

Your question about the sizes of the tib-file and the restored partition, brought me to the idee that maybe the size of the C-partition is too small!
I increased the C-partition from 23GB to 40GB .....and my problem is solved!!!
Now I can select the Vista partition and I can restore any TI archive.
Thanks to anyone who has helped!
