Resource comparative McAfee 8i vs Dr.Web

    Hi,

    I have at license ( current use ) of McAfee Enterprise 8i with out any problem, great detection, fast, any problem, but think that Dr.Web would be work well with less resource.....I am correct ? Or McAfee work with less resource ?.....Is Good Idea switch o_O??

    The McAfee Enterprise Edition definitely has a much higher memory footprint than Dr Web. But on my systems it has very little effect on system performance and runs as light as Dr Web.

    Dr Web would probably be the better choice of the two, if you have an older computer without much RAM.
    Therefore why switch, particularly as McAfee are moving to daily updates soon ;)

    dear larouse, the detection rate of McAfee is higher than Dr Web, also it is feature rich. if you can manage the resource usage, i don't think it'll be a good idea to switch.
