    I remember it too, there was some great publicity. Also remember the world was simpler then ;)

    Yes I remember, indeed it was the good old times. People back then used their computers without having no protection at all, oblivious of terms like virus, spyware, trojan etc... you know....:D.

    lol, I already had viruses long before win95. When I was still very young my parents had a PC with MS-DOS, and a friend of me and my brother gave us a floppy with games, but it was also loaded with viruses and the PC became unusable :p

    Well you can always get VirtualBox or VMware and reminisce. ;)

    You misunderstood my post. I did not say that malware did not exist when windows 95 came to be. I simply said that most computer users were not even aware them.

    Actually for quite a while after viruses were on the scene many people believed it was a hoax by the AV companies to sell their products. I thought that way briefly, and boy was I wrong :D

    Windows 95 was part of a confluence of events that changed the world, i.e. a 32 bit OS (sort of), a drop in the price of ram, and access to the internet. Still, I can't say I miss it...
