I have a dual-boot XP Pro, Vista Ultimate system. My problem is XP has been damaged by a bad Nvidia raid driver install-stop 0x0000007B error-no safe mode(im running 2 250 gb maxtors in raid 0 config). I have tried to recover XP by restoring thru recovery council, and a repair install, which trashed the vista bootloader. A startup repair in Vista recovered the bootloader and I can now boot into Vista. I have DDS 10 installed on Vista partition. I have all ther data on the XP partition recovered, and I am wondering what the best procedure to follow is to reinstall xp without affecting my vista install? The XP partition is the Primary Active one. Can I just reformat the xp partition, reinstall XP and use Easy BCD to reinstall vista bootloader, or is there a better way? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
