TF - yes if you set that in advanced settings.
SS Premium - yes and from ver. 6.0 registry category is showed in popup-alert.
Mamutu...hmmm...in list of recognized behaviour many of them are connected with registry...

geswall free could be a good option for it restricts and redirects writes to a virtualized area

Spyshelter free does a decent job in protecting registry entries, you will need premium for x64

Threatfire is great at protecting the registry, google for some old post of mine to set up custom rules for registry and file protection. You can set threatfire to level 1 and it will consume little CPU. Here is the good news on threatfire. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: The regsitry and file protection are kernel mode level protections. So this protection won't suffer the weakness some black hat hackers have shown (or shown off) regarding TheatFire's user land hooks.

I forgot about that. I know you have WinPatrol paid, but its registry protection is polling based and buggy. I would use TF free instead (with your own custom rules)

    Regards Kees

    @ jmonge & other interested souls ;)

RegDefend is still available from here http://majorgeeks.com/RegDefend_d4502.html

Ghost Security are no more, but i've tried RD in the past, & it's Very good. The DL is a 30 day trial, BUT, it then reverts to a Freeware version, with less options, but still nice :thumb: Looks good too !

The Absolute Best "FREE!" registry protection i ever enjoyed and still do is EQSysSecure because with it's ease of rules configuring, i want to be able to manually try to add anything in any branch of my registry and straightway be notified and alerted as to just what's getting ready to be added or removed before adding to a white or blacklist.

EQSysSecure offers that form of protection stupidly simple but nonetheless strategically useful for any end user.

Never tested in 64 modes but likely venture a guess it's a three two bit app only, sorry. Wish i was wrong on that 'cause it's an absolute Lite-Weight energy user but a Heavy-Weight system & registry protector in 32bits.

Looks like just the Comodo FW w/D+ is supposed to have some registry protection but i've yet to find an area of configuration in the app to examine it by.

All i know, be it HIPS or a Behaviora Blocker per say, if you can manually add a single string value to the most simplest branch of the registry like HKLM/RUN and you experience no interception/suspension alerts from your security apps, it's high time to find some that do.
