WOW it retails at nearly $40.Does it really cost that much to totally ruin your computer.?
Plenty of this crapware out there that will gladly do it for free.

How Reg Organizer ruined your computer? What it did indeed in your PC?

What feature you used that ruined it?

    Elaborate.

Im speaking of these sort of programs in general.Plenty of horror stories surrounding them too.

Look im not putting a downer on this particular program but im very weary of these registry optimisers, cleaners etc.Im sure it is a good program in experienced hands but for your average user it can be dangerous.
    just my opinion.:thumb:

I just tried it running in sandboxie and the registry scan eats a lot of CPU.
    Also what is "software informer"..?

Other than that it seems an ok program for what it does but i dont think i will be using it until ive seen more feedback on this.

Is software informer like the relevant knowledge spyware,?
Im starting to suspect it is.:ninja:

A little "bonus gift" from your "friends" at GAOTD. Hopefully you didn't install it or run an installer that gave it a first bite at your computer.

Nice to see you like speaking in general. Not nice to see you are "very weary"...

Nice to see you aren't speaking in particular Reg Organizer troubles about.

It's GAOTD related - not from Reg Organizer. If you aren't "very weary" you can read this info about...

First impressions were actually pretty good.Nothing that sets it apart from any free options anyway.

High cpu usage on scans.Interface did look a bit roguish ,spelling mistakes etc.
Other than that nothing which justifies a $40 price tag which is just insane.:ninja:

Yes it can be dangerous as it does pick up a few legitmate registry keys and list them as errors. It actually does fare better than most registry cleaners in this regard, but this still a good reason not to use it or Registry Life which is the free registry cleaner written by the same person.

Aside from this, the publisher does make some of the usual ridiculous claims about their products - that cleaning the registry will speed up your computer, when more often than not it won't.
