I ran ad-aware 6.0 and spyware guard but am still having this problem. For example, I am able to go to ebay.com but when I type in a search for an item like concert tickets for example, I can see the screen for about half a second before the screen changes to an ad screen. Specifically an amazon.com jewerly page. I can hit the back button (sometimes it takes about ten times) and I can eventually get to the page I want. This is very annoying. I ran hijackThis.exe and this is the report I got. Please tell me if I haven't given you the right information. Thank you for your help.

    Hi Misty,

    Welcome to Wilders.

Before you start, please unzip or move HijackThis to a separate folder. The program will make backups in the folder it's in. These easily get lost in a temporary folder.

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,SearchAssistant = http://searchbar.findthewebsiteyouneed.com/
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

    O1 - Hosts: 213.222.11.11 auto.search.msn.com

You also have rapidblaster. Download and run RapidBlasterKiller.

Then reboot in Safe Mode and delete the following:

    C:\WINDOWS\bxxs5.dll
    C:\PROGRA~1\INCRED~1 <-- entire folder
    C:\WINDOWS\neti.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\3_0_1browserhelper3.dll
    C:\windows\redirect7.exe
    C:\windows\easywww2.exe
    C:\Program Files\Common files\updater <-- entire folder
    C:\Program Files\RBEnhance\rbenh.exe
    c:\windows\toolbar_nieuw14.dll
    c:\windows\GoRSDN.dll.htm

Reboot and then post a fresh HijackThis log.

Some of the items are from viruses. I would stronly suggest you do an online virus scan and run a resident AV scanner if you are not already. Some good online scans can be found here.

I also urge you to update your copy of Windows by going here. This will help cut down on your chances of reinfestation.

    Regards,
    Kent

Edited to add line about RapidBlaster.....

    Fix this one as well:
    O3 - Toolbar: searchforit - {C109664B-CEB1-420b-B353-D55A561536DD} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\SYSsfitb.dll

We seem to have missed that one somehow.

    Regards,

    Pieter
