re: vmlite help please

Hi:
yesterday I tried to install vmlite that I downloaded from their site and after installation and when ran wizard the option of downloading winxp mode was grayed out and so I could not get win xp mode for the vmlite to work. I tried reinstalling but this time I got blue screen and my pc crashed and would not go to windows. So I had to use comodo time machine to turn back to a good snapshot. Has anyone had this issue or knows what was wrong with vmlite? My OP is windows 7 home premium. I posted at their forum but no reply as of yet. Any help is appreciate it.

By the way is there any other easy going simple virtualization software like vmlite thats free?
