raid 0

I'm using and intel 865perl with 2 74 gig raptors in raid 0. I want to use this mainly for restoring to a clean install. I don't have a burner, but I do have a storage drive. So, can I create a copy of a clean install and resote to it when ever I want. I run xp pro/sp2

You may download free trial version of Acronis True Image, create Acronis Bootable CD and make sure it will recognize your RAID correctly. If yes, then you can create image and restore it.

As I stated I DO NOT have a cd burner. I would make a copy to a stroage drive and restore frm there.

 

If I'm reading your post correctly, your 2 x 74Gb Raptors in Raid 0 configuration is your system drive and you have a separate IDE drive where you want to place an image of a clean install? That's not a problem and you can restore the image of the clean install at any time. As you are unable to create a Bootable Rescue CD you will need to activate Acronis Startup Recovery Manager. This will enable you to recover your PC before Windows boots.
