    Hello rryno,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Internet Privacy and Antispyware Software.

First of all please download the latest build (748.) of Acronis Privacy Expert Suite 8.0. In order to get access to updates you should register account on our site (or just log in if you have already created it) and then register your copy of the product. Then please download the latest spyware updates and try to scan for spyware again. If the problem remains please create a screenshot of what Acronis Privacy Expert Suite found on your computer and send it to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread, also please indicate in the subject that you want to contact Irina Shirokova.

    Thank you.

I am running build 748 since the first day it was released. I just updated defs to 09/17/05 and r3c is still there. PES says that it got rid of it but if you rescan or reboot and rescan it shows back up again. Also, is this program ever going to be updated? going on four months now. Please help. Thanks.

Yes r3c is a false positive so just ignore it until the spyware definitions have been updated to correct this problem. Unfortunately there seems to be various false positives from time to time which do cause unnecessary concern for users and possibly even damage to their system if they successfully remove something which is not spyware.

I don't think you will see any further updates (other than spyware definitions) to this version of the program. Acronis have said they are bringing out a new version so I guess that you will have to upgrade sometime in the future. The new version will support Firefox although this version was also supposed to support Firefox and the functionality was pulled due to some problems in getting it to work correctly.
