Started testing on a testing partition and so far so good; I do have a question: Is this only the free version (my beta says premium, but does this cover all the changes to the premium version)?

The words "Public beta" is what is confusing me somewhat.

    Hi cortez,
Yes, this is the full Premium Edition. It is a Public Beta because it is open to anyone who wishes to test it. Just send us a note requesting a testing Serial Number and you are good to go.

BTW, I am using the Returnil Multi-Partition protection Free Edition in one of my computer.

When will you add the Session Lock to this version? is there any plan?

At this time there are no plans to develop that version. Multi-partition protection is now available in the 2.01 series via the File Protection feature.

This might be a bit off topic but are there any plans for a 64-bit version? Theres a severe lack of virtualisation apps for x64 os's.

    Hi farmerlee,
We are working toward this as quickly as possible and plan staff increases in the near future that will help us to move the project forward. Though I would love to give you a better idea about the time frame, I am unable to be more precise at the moment...

The features are included in 7067 but as plug-ins. Start > Programs > Returnil > Returnil Tools...

This is off topic to this thread, but is a Returnil question. So I hope it is ok to ask here. I am using Returnil free edition as I just recently learned of it. I am on XP Pro. I have my pagefile set up to delete on shutdown through a setting in gpedit.msc, and I have Returnil set as protected mode. I know that Returnil doesn't create the pagefile in ram, but I can not tell if I am getting a new pagefile on startup. Or is Returnil protecting the old pagefile, and it is the one created on startup? Thank you in advance for any advice.

    Hi HungJuri,
RVS does not clone the Windows Pagefile. This is for these reasons:

    1) Space - the pagefile can become huge over time and cloning it could adversely effect available disk space

    2) Temporary - or at least conceptually the pagefile is supposed to be temporary. It is overwritten each time it is loaded and can be wiped as you describe

    3) Performance - This file changes often, and the resulting clone would need to be updated just as frequently and could significantly degrade performance over time

    4) Windows itself - Windows needs this file and it could cause Windows not to function properly or even at all if it cannot access this file for whatever reason

So your wipe should be effective and will not be superseded by RVS cloning.

    HTH
