Process Lasso Pro 6.7 is available for free today on the giveaway of the day site:

    https://www.giveawayoftheday.com/

For those not familiar with GOTD the main thing is Process Lasso may only be free today, 9-25-2013, so if you're interested go get it (they sometimes extend the offer for a second day but you can't count on it). If you haven't tried Process Lasso before go to GOTD and read about what it does. There are also threads here about it. I find it useful on my computers and recommend it :thumb:

A good tool by a good developer.

The docs, FAQs, etc on the site also provides adequate info if one is interested in the logic behind the program. Skeptics are invited to test the CPU Eater demo.

Even without GOTD (in which Process Lasso Pro has been offered a few times already), the developer is also kind enough to provide home users with a free version that has the main core features (such as ProBalance) without any time limit. No adware bundled because Jeremy Collake, the dev, is against such a practice.

I am using this now, and still wondering if it really works on improving the system's performance or not.

But hoping it will and it is. Anyway, this software looks good and "advanced" and gives lots of infos on processes running. Very useful even for ordinary users.
