Problem watching streaming video

    Can anyone help me with this ? Everytime I try to watch a streaming video, I click on the link - and I get a message that Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to shut down. I get the error reporting box, and then ANY open window closes and I wind up back at my desktop. I have IE 6.0 with windows XP. I know how to manage my XP popup blocker, and I don't think that that is the problem. I have Spyware Blaster installed, and also AVG Virus Free Edition.

    I can watch avi and mpg movies and video clips, but when it comes to streaming video...im outta the daggone stream!
