PrivaZer speed

in PrivaZer v1.9, we improved significantly various cleanup speeds :
- MFT cleanup
- FAT cleanup
- free space cleanup
- closing speed

Speed improvements may vary depending on your system.

1. Did you notice any changes ?

2. Are PrivaZer scans and cleanups quick enough ?

 

Major improvements, very good job.

• Love the new steps 1-11 setup wizard
• It seems to clean more upon first scan
• scans are super quick (After first cleanup)
• closing of the program is much, much better (Although, I think you can do without the exit confirmation all together)

Overall, you're doing absolutely great, PrivaZer is shaping very nicely...Keep it up

 

I was looking for a simple, secure file deletion program, e.g., Eraser, File Shredder, etc. and came across this. I wanted to securely shred any file by using the context menu. With PrivaZer, I got my individual file shredder plus many extras.

After performing an in-depth scan, cleaning took around 12 minutes. With this new version it now only takes around 8 minutes. This is quite a difference.

I've been using Privazer on Windows 8 and Windows 7 computers for quite some time.

Here are my facts.

It used to take Privazer v1.8.1 about 16 minutes to "Scan in-depth" (using "7passes - German VSITR" - don't ask me why) the Windows 7 computer.

CCleaner, using only the "Simple Overwrite (1 pass)" method, did a similar job (?) in about 3 hours and 45 minutes.

Eraser, with "1 Pass", was able to do the same job in about 14 plus hours.

Privazer's speed is incredible. Number One.
But what about the quality?
I’ve tried to recover the files deleted by Privazer with several programs.
Here is what "iCare Data Recovery Standard" found:



I've decided to test Privazer v.1.9.0 on the same Windows 7 computer.

It took Privazer v1.9.0 less then 7 minutes to "Scan-in-depth" (using 7passes - German VSITR) the Windows 7 computer.
The new version - 1.9.0. cut the cleaning time in half.

In conclusion,

Privazer - an incredibly fast and extremely powerful privacy cleaner.
