    It's OK now, I believe that the install changed the setting, I changed it back and everything is now still there... June 10 is a long time ago to remember exactly. But I've now set up a schedule to run daily and have no problems.

    Yes, I do not have any traces in the $LogFile now on scan. In a prior version I seemed to be getting as many traces in $LogFile as in USN Journal. I don't know if this is a Privazer issue or if something has changed with Windows in an update.

    focus, thanks for this catch !
    We changed something in v2.32 impacting the start of the $LogFile scan.
    The issue will be fixed within 1-2 hours (v2.34.1 coming...) !

    UI will be improved as it looks too childish for many users.
    Global question : What would you like to be changed in PrivaZer 3?

    It is good that you are aware of the issue...:thumb:
    1) GUI needs a serious face-lift! ;)
    -Reduce the 'Multiple-Window' Pop-Up appearance.
    -Consolidate the 'Options' as the 'Options-within-Options' mode is dis-functional.

    2) Erasing files/folders, via Right-Click,
    should be Faster as there is a Slow-down during initialization.

    " Improvement" can be a very subjective term :)

    Does anybody seriously think that CCleaner's revised GUI was an " Improvement" ?

    Something not quite right with cleaning a FAT32 partition?

    I admit its been a while since I cleaned my lone FAT32 partition with Privazer, but I noticed that after Privazer finished cleaning, I was able to see path values as well as dates on a huge amount of entries I assumed would have been cleaned. -> (I used a program called "Recuva" to see this information). Sure, the filename entry was nonsensical, but they all had a path and date value.

    Why do I think this "isn't" the way its supposed to work. Have I missed something?

    In contrast, I also use a program called Eraser to clean all my partitions. When Eraser finishes with the FAT32 partition, theres absolutely nothing to be found by Recuva. Nothing! Not a single filename, path, or date entry at all. I further tested this by re-populating the partition with a scripted set of files (Used Autoit) that were created and then deleted. Checked the Recuva results, and then ran a program called 'shredder.exe' (Hirens boot cd, BART CD). Sure enough, Recuva was unable to find a single FAT directory entry at all. Nothing!

    So as it stands:

    Eraser = Properly clears the FAT directory entries?
    Shredder = Properly clears the FAT directory entries?
    Privazer = Not quite right...

    ** Whilst typing this in, I just used Eraser to clean the FAT directory entries. Once again Recuva states no file entries exist. Then I had Privazer clean the same FAT32 partition again. Yup. Filename, path, and date entries appeared.

    Whats up with this "team Privazer" ?

    Firstly thank you very much for all your work on Privazer, it's very much appreciated :)

    You asked for suggestions for V3...

    Fix Known Bugs:
    The following bugs are when using the portable version of Privazer on Win7 64.

    MFT, index attributes and free space cleaning on mounted VeraCrypt (or Truecrypt) WDE slave drives can produce intermittent results. This has been a problem since the first release.

    The Windows History / USB history option fails to remember it's checked state after each restart of PrivaZer.

    Requests:

    Please support other file systems like exFAT. This will enable the user to securely wipe flash drives.
    Please fully integrate shellbag_analyzer into Privazer it seems odd having two separate programs.
    Whole disk erase, please allow the user to select a whole disk to wipe, with option to format afterwards.
    Please integrate an option for the user to load winapp2.ini, this will transform PrivaZer.
    Command line would be very useful.

    Usability:

    Please switch to a tabbed GUI, opening many windows when performing multiple drive cleaning looks unprofessional and is difficult for the user to navigate.

    Drive selection is very difficult, the user is forced to use a small drop down list and repeatedly has to re-select multiple drives, only to have the list recoil each time. Please make this a simpler tick box method, one that is not animated so the user can quickly and easily select different drives.

    Cleaning options are also difficult to see at a glance, the user is forced to click every item and then select "options". A more comprehensive and simple outlay would be wonderful.

    Privazer WebSite

    What happened to all the requests on the Privazer site when you changed it's appearance ? There were many good suggestions there which seem to have gone missing.

    Would it be possible for Privazer to host it's own forum ?

    Thanks again, I do not wish to sound like I am complaining, I am just making suggestions :)

    I'm wondering why PrivaZer hides my SysTray Icons? It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

    Anyone else experience stalls post-clean? EG: trying to click on X to close PrivaZer after a clean is useless for me, gotta wait till the program returns from "busy" (non-responsive) to "idle" (accept instructions). Clicking on X for the disk windows to shut down is OK, but the main window, no dice... been a long-going thing for me. If I manage to do a Superman speed X click really really quickly, it'll accept. Otherwise, gotta' wait for xx seconds.

    Hello,

    @chunkie
    thanks for your suggestions.:thumb:
    Many were already on our roadmap. You help us to reorganize our priorities...
    We will do our best to have a great Privazer 3.

    @Krusty13
    Do you have Win7?. Does it happen during the cleanup or when you close PrivaZer.

    @marzametal
    do you have external drives connected to your PC?

    @powaa
    ClamAV has just been contacted (false positive). We are waiting for their reply...

    @The_PrivaZer_Team ,
    Yes, Win7.
    I notice it after having PrivaZer installed for about 4 weeks. I run PrivaZer and shut down my machine. Next time I start my computer the icons are hidden.

    Thanks.

    Do you run another cleaner as well, cleaning your system tray cache?
