I would like to use SPF Free but also like to use the Proxomitron, if I disable the Proxomitron but tighten my IE controls will I protect my privacy just the same. I know about the bypass problem that SPF has with Proxomitron but I am also sick of all the apps running in the name of protection.

    Thanks

It depends on what type of protecting you want. :) I think tyightening up IE security is fine and great but you get more protection with Proxo than IE. Like for 1 IE don't block so called web bugs but there's filters that will block them with proxo. Proxo can spoof you OS and browser on some web pages (so they say). ;) Proxo can block tracking links but IE can't. :) the list goes on and on. But it's a matter of prefrence.
