Still waiting to hear from them. But there are a couple of more days left on my second license.

Usually it takes less than 24 hours on week days so I hope they contact you soon!

Tried again this morning and included the license information so they can even fix the issue without contacting me in advance. :)

I would have expected them to contact you back already - could you PM me your email address so I can ensure the right people are looking at it?

    Thanks :)

Nope. This afternoon I was contacted by the Prevx program to say my subscription is expired. Will still be able to use the free version, and have lots of time left on my other computer. Not exactly an ad for support, though. Should have told Visa Fraud that I had never heard of them-probably would have attracted their attention. ;)

I sent Joe my email address, so could just be a time zone difference. :)

I increased mine to 6 (on one license) earlier this year but not without about 3 attempts by Support to correct probs with wrong pc's being (unilaterally) deactivated and existing ones not allowing re-activation even though the activated license count was less than max allowed(purchased) count.

Currently I'm investigating why 2 installs now throw a "License expired" dialog initially on bootup but after desktop initialisation completes the actual PX3SOL is correctly licensed?

NB: I had totally un/re-installed (and additionally used PX3 remover) while attempting to recover from original licensing de/re-activation probs.

The latest (albeit apparent cosmetic) probs seem to be possibly a timing issue which on 1 resource constrained VM I can understand, but the other is a native install on reasonably spec'd hardware.

No doubt the improvements in licensing implementation currently under development will remove these minor irritations eventually!

I've heard of a handful of users who have seen this but have yet to find a good cause. Could you send me your license key and hostname for the two installations so that I can hopefully find a cause?

    Thanks! :)

Gee - I would have thought with the tedious time consuming remote assist you endured in last two years my license key would be permanently on your "block list"! ;)

Since you're obviously keen not to let me continue in my bumbling attempts to find the cause I've sent requested details FAO Joe to Support
    and cc'd PM'd.

EDIT: Superlative timely response as usual from Support...... but due to your Problems Submission system (which for some reason I have a mental block with and consequently append to wrong bl**dy problem! ) they've responded with the "canned" response to re-install!!!. Ho hum.....
Just as well they suffer fools gladly.... ;)

Reinstalling does tend to solve it for many users but I'm personally working with our licensing folks to try and solve it by analyzing your license keys separately. Let me know if it occurs again after reinstalling but I should hopefully have an answer within the next couple days as to the cause of it :)

Presumably you must have identified something and fixed it at the licensing server end then? Because when I checked again prior to performing another re-install as requested I was unable to reproduce the problem on either system over several reboots!

I'll let you know if it re-occurs..... many thanks.

I decided to go ahead and purchase a 4 user license and hopefully I will not experience any of these issues. I am activating 3 computers now and 1 in about a week, so at the very most I guess if I have an issue with expiration dates, it will only be about 7-10 days!

I personally have not had this Issue with my 4 machine License Key! :thumb: And if I did I know Joe or the Prevx support staff would fix any problems I would have!

EDIT: Forgot to say welcome to the Prevx Family!

Thanks for the welcome TH! I am glad that the license issues are not the norm! That being said, I wonder if sded has had the reported issue corrected as of yet, it has been 5 days? I would hope that support would be a little quicker to respond and correct what seems to be (IMO) an easy fix.

Not a word from Prevx. Just checked MyPrevx to make sure it was not silently fixed. So have one paid/one free Prevx at this point. :(

:doubt: I've just searched through our inbox for your email and cannot find anything at all... did you write in through http://info.prevx.com/service.asp using the email you sent me in a PM :doubt: Really unsure how it would have gotten lost but I don't see you having ever written into Prevx support...

Maybe it is more complicated then it seems and they have a logical explanation for the delay (I would hope). I am sure that it will get resolved, it is just a matter of when?

I sent two messages via your website using that url and email address. No error messages or problems showed up. Do you not support Opera perhaps? I know you do for MyPrevx.

You indeed do appear to have a problem with Opera. I just sent another message from Chrome, and got an immediate response from prevx. But with Opera on two attempts there was no indication of any problem, and no response. Unless your system was down for an extended period.

Yay, Prevx fixed the problem immediately once the protocols were worked out. I am very surprised by the Opera issue though. Prevx moved the years extension to the expired license, and upgraded the other license to a year for my trouble. So support did a great job; maybe the webmaster needs a little work though. ;) Thanks Prevx.
