possible conflict with windows defender -"PossibleHostsFileHijack" with latest update

    FWIW, I am running WD and SpywareBlaster on two machines. With the latest WD defs, I don't get the detection you mentioned.

    Hi,

    SpywareBlaster doesn't alter the Hosts File (although it does allow you to make/restore secure backups of it), so I suspect the cause may have been another security tool (or manual replacement with a custom Hosts file).

    In any case, thanks for posting and letting us know. :) It looks like Microsoft fixed it. :cool:
