port 80

    ok we all know about port 80, the most basic open port there is.

    what are the best ways to secure this particular port?

    Welcome to Wilders blackwar12.

    If you are using any kind of firewall that is properly configured (hardware or software) then port 80 on your local computer should be relatively secure.

    Unless you are running some type of web server on that computer. If that is the case then you are dealing with a whole other world of web hosting security. This forum is focused on client security (end users) rather than server security.
    That is not to say that you can't gain a treasure chest full of security knowledge here that will benefit server admins. Its just that your server (host) type questions might be better answered on one of the Web Hosting Security forums.
