Yes if have tried the vundofix tool as well as sysmantec's tool.
I have also downloaded process explorer and killbox and tried the fix that was posted earlier on your site. Nothing seems to help.

When I boot in safe mode the screen goes black after I have logged in but I still ran the the tools using ctrl-alt-del and the run command.

I also keep getting a lot of adware pop-ups

I know there is a way to kill this trojan, but this is very hard. I could even give you a link, but info is only in Polish - and I don't know if I am skilled enough to tranlate it into english. If you don't find any answer to your problem I will try.

go here to the link below and post a hijack this log and they'll fix it there. I could post the instructions for you here but I am not allowed and your not allowed to post a hijack this log! Post the hijack this log at the TSG security forum, someone there will post the instructions for you to remove vundo!

Download hijack this from the link below. Please do this. Click here:

    http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/files/hijackthis_sfx.exe

to download HijackThis. Click scan and save a logfile, then post it here so
we can take a look at it for you. Don't click fix on anything in hijack this
as most of the files are legitimate.
