Please help me from this Greatsearch.biz

    Hi,

After successfully (I think) clearing out the 1on1dialler, my system was clear for a few days before all of a sudden, GreatSearch.biz installed itself as my homepage.

It appears to be a search engine, but it has all the options as porn categories. I am having real trouble getting rid of this.

I've tried resetting the homepage in Internet Options.
I've tried deleting it using HijackThis. It disappears only to return when I next log on.
I've tried CWShredder, but it shows the system as clear.
SpyBot S&D, and AdAware don't show up much, and when anything does, if I delete it, the greatsearch.biz just shows up again (is it reinstalling itself maybe).

I'd ignored it for a few days despite the annoyingness of it, but now its suddenly started trying to call up dialers and keeps trying to load this page immediately after the greatsearch.biz page :

    http://213.159.117.130/cgi-bin/index.cgi?c=2

Please, any help would be greatly appreciated. I have attached the HijackThis log.

    Thanks
    FD

Re: Please help me from this Greatsearch.biz

    Hi FDddy,

Have only HijackThis running and fix :

    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://greatsearch.biz/
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://greatsearch.biz/
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://greatsearch.biz/
    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://greatsearch.biz/
    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = http://greatsearch.biz/
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = http://greatsearch.biz/

After doing so copy the contents of the quote box to notepad:

    hit 'save as'
    give it the name 'clear.reg'
under the filename set file types to all files.
    save it to the desktop.

After done double click the clear.reg
when asked to merge say yes

    then find this file:

    system32.dll

    Most likely in :

    c:\windows\system32\system32.dll

    Rightclick and delete it.

    Restart PC after doing so

    Hope this helps

    Cheers,

Won't I ever be able to be rid of this plague? (1on1 Hot Kiss)

    Hi,

Pieter and Unzy thanks for all your help in recent days with the 1on1/Hot Kiss.

Everytime I try what you say, it clears the problem and then a few days later it reappears. :'(

Here's the log. Please advise... AGAIN. :(

    Thanks very much.
