    I have the same issue.
It is a minor annoyance....but GEEEEEZZZZ....you would think that they would test these programs a few times before releasing them !

Running build 93 of PD 10 Pro now. Yeah, I like the colors better - easier on my eyes.

Same here. Probably it's a bug.

It is indeed a known issue. Raxco offered a temporary fix to the problem. See the link posted above.

The "bug fix" is a choice between two .exe files. Do you just run the .exe file and it sets PD10 to always operate the way you chose ?

Can you rerun the other .exe file at a later time to reverse the decision ?

You are right, the fix will make it so that PD will either exit or minimize, depending on the patch you choose. I am not sure, though, if it's permanent or not. You might want to contact Raxco's technical support.

It's awesome. I feel so much better running PD now in Windows 7. Had to use some other alternatives before and none made me happy as PD does. Can't say if the app is better but Win 7 compatibility makes me a happy little boy.

My PD10 always reverts to "Minimize on Close"....so why do we need a patch to make it always do that if it already always does that. ?!??!

    Just wondering.
It seems like the only patch that would be necessary is the one that allows you to choose CLOSE on close.

Unless they really are designed to allow you to reverse the decision; perhaps even multiple times.

As a practical matter, I have been letting it minimize, then right click the tray icon and choose "Close" (or maybe it is "Exit"). This closes it.

In spite of my complaining, I really do like the Stealth Patrol setup. It does seem to be more aggressively active than before. It also automatically pauses and resumes whenever I start any task on the computer.

After testing it for a week I have to say that I am not impressed at all. They continue to offer zero flexibility in the configuration of the defragging schemes. They are good for the system partition but are extremly slow for all my other partitions.

I just compared it with Puran v6.0 and I can say, that I am pleasently surprised by it's flexibility and it's speed. I have send them an email about their upgrade policy and they responded in less than an hour, which is a very good sign.

Tomorrow, I'm going to purchase a license. :D

Just received PD 10 for vmware, build 93 I believe.

Does anyone experience any bugs or catastrophes? I've only skimmed over the Raxco literature. Any testers here, how'd it go?

The pro worked fine (I tested it for a week). But did not noticed any big improvement from the previous version. The only bug is this one http://www.perfectdisk.com/support/kb/810.

Beta was much shorter than they have been in the past, only two builds issued for the test. There were some BSODs on offline defrag and other minor to semi-major issues but they got handled quickly. Funny that this failure to close issue never surfaced in beta but I don't think anyone has lost track of how often you can fix something while breaking another unless you are perfect.

Despite limiting my prior commentary to the change in colors, I must say I was happy they finally got stealth defrag working right (if not necessarily convinced of it's utility) after it NOT working as advertised in prior versions.

Okay good. So the big question is has it improved over the last version?

Going to agree with zfactor, unless you want Windows 7 compatibility.

It works as advertised on my machines. No bugs found yet.
